PRI European Regional Meeting
Parker Randall International European Regional Meeting was held on Friday 1 June 2018 in Istanbul, Turkey.
The regional meeting was a great success and was designed to canvas your opinions, thoughts, concerns and issues, to share, listen to views, and learn. Each of our members had the opportunity to present their firms and take any questions.
Following the presentation from Malta, which led to a very interesting discussion, we have discovered that fees for medium or large companies are similar across the Europe.
Audit thresholds were discussed and proved to be very different across the European Region, which is a significant factor in the pricing strategy.
We also visited the idea of outsourcing between our members.
The afternoon session was led by the presentation from Dr. Alara Efsun Yazicioglu on International Taxation of E-Commerce. The following topics were covered:
Concept of PE
Concept of e-commerce
Problems caused by international taxation of e-commerce (Example of Google)
Approach followed by the Turkish tax authorities
MLI, an effective solution to the problem
